Meet Dave Drickhamer
No stranger to tinkering with wood, tools, and machinery, Dave began woodworking over 14 years ago. He enjoyed making picture frames, trinket boxes, and even turned a few plates and bowls. However, it was about five years ago that a stunning pen made of exquisite wood caught his wife's eye. She wanted to learn how to make such a thing of simple beauty.
Dave bought his wife everything she would need for her new hobby, but she never found the time to devote to it. Finally, Dave's curiosity and creativity took over. He decided to try pen turning for himself. He has loved experimenting with different woods and other materials creating new pens, and giving people a little bit of happiness ever since. His wife still loves the pens.
Now a grandfather to five granddaughters, Dave enjoys spending time in his shop teaching his granddaughters to turn pens.
"It's a great way to spend time together and be able to share a common interest with them."
The only thing Dave likes better than playing with the characteristics and nuances of wood, is knowing that his work has helped bring some happiness into this world.
Dave stands behind his work and guarantees that with proper care, his pens will last you a very long time.
If you should have a problem, he will fix it.
That's his guarantee.
